Privacy Policy

Foundation Wizard is developed and published by Michael Bonnell / Bonnell Apps.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Foundation Wizard mobile application, the Foundation Wizard website, or contact support.

1. Privacy at a glance

Foundation Wizard is moving to a free, fully unlocked model. The free and unlocked iOS update does not offer an in-app purchase or subscription. Earlier iOS versions offered Foundation Wizard Plus through Apple. Android is available now as a free, fully unlocked download without Google Play Billing.

The current Android app does not collect or share user data as those terms are used in Google Play's Data safety disclosure. We do not sell personal information or use the app for advertising or behavioral profiling.

• No in-app advertising or advertising trackers
• No analytics SDK
• No collection of precise or approximate location
• No camera, microphone, contacts, or photo-library access requested by the app
• No Foundation Wizard cloud sync or cloud backup

2. Information entered in the app

You may enter job names, point or structure names, elevations, dimensions, yardage values, notes, labels, and other field-calculation information. This information is processed locally on your device to perform calculations, save jobs, and create reports.

Foundation Wizard does not transmit that app-entered information to Michael Bonnell, Bonnell Apps, or a Foundation Wizard server. Do not enter confidential, regulated, classified, or personal information that you are not authorized to store or share.

3. Local storage, backup, and deletion

Saved jobs, calculator state, preferences, and related app information are stored locally on your device. Foundation Wizard does not provide a cloud account, cloud database, or synchronization service.

The Android app is configured to prevent its app data from being included in Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Foundation Wizard does not promise that data can be recovered after deletion, corruption, device loss, an operating-system action, or an app update. Any platform backup behavior outside the app is controlled by the device platform and your settings, not by Foundation Wizard.

You can remove locally stored information using the app's delete controls where available, by clearing the app's storage through device settings, or by uninstalling the app. Clearing storage or uninstalling may permanently delete saved jobs and preferences. Keep any records you need in an appropriate system outside the app.

4. Copying, exporting, and sharing

When you deliberately copy, export, or share a report, the selected information may leave Foundation Wizard through the operating system's clipboard, share sheet, email, messaging, file, or another app you choose. Foundation Wizard does not send the report by itself.

After information leaves Foundation Wizard, the receiving app, service, organization, or person controls it under their own practices. Review every report and confirm that you have permission to share it.

5. App stores and historical purchases

Foundation Wizard does not collect payment-card information or process payments. Apple and Google may process ordinary app-store and device records under their own policies.

Earlier iOS versions offered Foundation Wizard Plus through Apple. After Plus has been removed from sale, no new Plus sign-ups or renewals are offered; Apple may retain historical transaction and subscription records.

Links to Apple, Google Play, email, or other external services open services that Foundation Wizard does not control.

6. Website and support communications

The public website is hosted by a service provider that may process ordinary technical request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps to deliver and secure the site. We do not add analytics, advertising pixels, or user accounts to the website. Hosting logs are handled under the provider's retention and security practices.

If you email support, we receive the email address, message, attachments, and any other information you choose to send. We use support communications to answer the request, troubleshoot, improve the product, prevent abuse, and maintain necessary business records. Do not send sensitive job or personal information unless it is needed and you are authorized to send it.

7. Data retention and security

App data remains on your device until you delete it or the device or operating system removes it. Support email may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, document the interaction, improve the app, or meet legal obligations. Website infrastructure logs are retained according to the hosting provider's practices.

We use reasonable measures for services we control, but no device, email system, or internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. Foundation Wizard is not a permanent records archive.

8. Children's privacy

Foundation Wizard is a professional field-calculation tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information through support, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, platform features, law, or our practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Materially different data practices will be disclosed before or when they take effect as required.
